The first thing you notice isn’t the nicely weathered teak deck under your feet, or her generous beam (5.65 m / 18’6”) that pays off all over this yacht.

Rather, you notice how the aft upper deck overhang appears to be floating.

This innovation offers you and up to 7 of your closest family and friends uninterrupted views and respite from the sun while dining at the sizeable aft-teak-table. Before you can figure out how the upper deck looks as if it’s hovering overhead, the saloon’s Concertina glass doors open wide for you and seamlessly blend together the saloon and cockpit into one large space.

Upon walking into the saloon, it’s likely you’ll first notice the open concept layout with expansive windows.

Windows which surround nearly the entire saloon — a feature which lets the outside in. As for the interior, it’s light and it abounds in sanded-teak flooring and paneling.

You may also notice the dining table by Tonelli which comes with 4 Moroso moulded ply chairs. “The staggering leather, glass and steel – dining table and stunningly cool moulded chairs means dining is a real experience in itself,” writes Alan Harper of Motor Boat and Yachting. At the center of the spacious saloon, is a large C-shaped sofa upholstered in a very soft casamance fabric surrounding a floor covered in Italian leather tiles — a design decision of Nuvolari Lenard.

The bronze relief art pieces — framed within nicely-finished brushed teak. The clean lacquer-work that keep her bright and contemporary. The tactile ridged-velvet trim around the cabinetwork. Surprisingly, the sense of space from the saloon continues below deck — there’s a generous beam of 5.65 m / 18’6” and a headroom of 1.98 m / 6’6″.

Michael Verdon, of the Robb Report remarked, “Monte Carlo Yachts uses a modular, jigsaw approach to building its yachts, so the interior volume is maximized.”

With so much interior volume, the MCY 76 contains four good sized staterooms. And each stateroom has its own ensuite head and shower. Below deck, there is plenty of natural lighting throughout.

Upon stepping into the master stateroom, the most noticeable feature may be the large, signature Monte Carlo Yachts’ portholes over his-and-hers marble sinks.

To the left of the sinks, is a head with a bidet. To the right is a fully enclosed rain-and-massage shower comprised of cream and dark travertine stone tiled. The room is very spacious, since it is amidship it takes advantage of the full beam of the yacht.

The wall coverings and overhead materials of are top quality fabrics by Armani and Rubelli. There’s more bronze relief artwork and indirect lighting surrounds the berth from below and above.

As for the cabinets, they are upholstered in Italian leather inlay, with stitched leather handles.

A walk-in closet and plenty of stowage permit you to bring what you want, with you. 

In addition, you may notice how the 36-ounce carpet feels like new — and that’s because it is. As for the VIP Stateroom, located at the bow, it’s of a similar style and materials yet slightly smaller.

Ascend the flybridge staircase and you’ll discover, “a beautiful use of space on the flying bridge. 

The entire area was warm and inviting, and regardless of where you cruise, the view is sure to be spectacular,” noted Capt. Steve Larivee, of BoatTest.com.

This entertaining area is equipped with mini-bar containing an electric grill, fridge, ice-maker and sink, to starboard. To port, a very large L-shaped couch wraps around a teak table with deck chairs and shaded by a distinctive carbon fibre sunroof.

And with the push of a button at the flybridge helm, the upper deck transforms into large, sun-lounging area as the sunroof retracts. What’s more, the ‘floating’ aft deck almost doubles the size of the entire flybridge and provides extra room for chaise lounges if you prefer.

From the swim platform or the crew quarters, you can access “every mechanic’s dream,” according to the official Survey Results.

Furthermore, the results claim that there is “A generous 190 cm of headroom, substantial stainless-steel guard rails and plenty of light and ventilation.”

And that, “This is a hundred-footer’s engine room on a 76 ft yacht,” reads the results. Housed within the oversized engine room is an element of German engineering — two 1,400 hp, V12 turbo-charged engines by MAN.

“With 2800 horsepower on tap, there is plenty of power for performance here, and in the lively conditions prevailing on the sea trial, the 76 powered up to 32 knots with a full load on-board,” Asia-Pacific Boating reported.
