The V Class is Princess Yachts’ dedicated range of sports yachts. First established back in the mid-1990s with the launch of the V39 and V52 models, the series offers models that combine high-performance, easy handling, and stability out at sea. Early models, like the V39, set the foundation for a series defined by deep-V hulls, sleek low-profile silhouettes, and confident 30-knot-plus capability. Today, the V Class includes four models, measuring between 12 and 20 metres in length, including the entry model V40, the V50, the V55, and the flagship, the V65. The exterior design of the series was developed in collaboration with Olesinski Design, with interiors by the Princess Design Studio. Across the V Class range, the general arrangement centres on an open cockpit linked directly to the saloon via sliding glass doors. Helm positions are protected beneath hardtops with retractable sunroofs, allowing adaptable open-air cruising, while larger models offer the option for a fully enclosed main deck with cockpit doors. Cockpits typically feature C-shaped seating, wet bars, and large sunpads, with some models incorporating tender garages beneath the aft deck. The layout on the lower deck is optimised to maximise interior volume. Depending on the model, accommodation ranges from two to four staterooms, accommodating between four and eight overnight guests, including full-beam owner’s staterooms on larger yachts such as the V55 and V65. Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS or shaft-driven MAN engines, V Class yachts have a top speed of 36 knots.
