The first model unveiled from Benetti’s new series, the Benetti B.Neos 40m, was first unveiled to the industry at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival. Representing a new design direction for the Italian shipyard, the 40.63-metre model features a streamlined aesthetic and advanced hybrid propulsion. Inspired by the “proportions and silence of sailing yachts,” her exterior design was developed by UK-based firm Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, and includes a plumb bow, low-profile superstructure, with expansive glazing and overhanging aft decks.

Her contemporary interiors are the work of Francesca Muzio from AM Architettura, as the series aims to deliver a fresh, forward-thinking idea of life at sea centred on simplicity, efficiency, and a closer connection with the surrounding environment. Featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the Benetti B.Neos 40m has a beam of 8.66 metres and a draught of 1.86 metres, with an internal volume of 296 GT. Unique in the sub-300 GT segment, the Benetti B.Neos 40m integrates hybrid propulsion as standard, making her one of the first displacement yachts of this size to prioritise low-impact cruising and reduced onboard noise.

Centred on offering a fluid, social layout, a key feature of the Benetti B.Neos 40m is the Sea Atrium, a 2.4-metre-high glass-lined space that connects the beach club with the interior, providing a smooth transition between outdoor and indoor environments. On the main deck, a family-style open kitchen replaces the traditional formal dining room, forming a relaxed social space adjacent to the main salon. The upper deck is entirely dedicated to the owner, offering a private apartment with 270-degree panoramic forward views and access to an outdoor terrace. From there, stairs led up to the observation deck, with a large sunpad. The Benetti B.Neos 40m can accommodate up to ten guests across five ensuite staterooms, including the owner’s apartment on the upper deck and four guest staterooms on the lower deck. Crew quarters can house a crew of seven. Powered by an integrated hybrid system with twin MAN V8-800 engines, the Benetti B.Neos 40m has a range of 2,600 nautical miles at 10 knots.
