The entry model to Benetti’s B.Yond range of explorer-style superyachts, the Benetti B.Yond 40m, was first shown to the industry during the Italian shipyard’s 150th anniversary celebration in the summer of 2023. Measuring 39.9 metres in length, with a beam of 8.6 metres and a draught of 2.7 metres, she features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Her bold exterior design was developed in collaboration with Lobanov Design, with inspiration taken from the automotive industry, while her interiors are the work of Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture.

Distinct within the 40-metre segment, the Benetti B.Yond 40m integrates Benetti’s advanced E-Mode Hybrid System, created in collaboration with Siemens Energy, offering multiple propulsion modes, including full-electric navigation to reduce emissions and fuel consumption. The four-deck layout has been designed to maximise practicality and comfort during extended cruising, as the series is created around long-range cruising, efficiency, and more responsible cruising. On the main deck aft, an infinity pool with a glass bottom serves as the main point for outdoor relaxation, while nearby stairways lead down to an expansive beach club providing direct access to the water.

The main salon and dining area benefit from large windows that flood the space with natural light and offer panoramic views. However, one of the most distinctive areas of the Benetti B.Yond 40m is the upper deck lounge, a 15-metre-long interior space surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glazing, serving as a multipurpose space for dining or socialising. The Benetti B.Yond 40m can accommodate up to ten guests across five ensuite staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck and four staterooms on the lower deck. Crew quarters, also on the lower deck, can house up to nine crew members. Powered by the hybrid propulsion system paired with MAN engines, Benetti B.Yond 40m has a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
