Bluegame BGF Range
BLUEGAME BGF RANGE
Introduced in 2025 with the debut of the BGF45 at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the BGF range is the second multihull series from Italian shipyard Bluegame. The BGF range builds on the success of the BGM Range, and the first model in the series, the BGF45, leverages technology developed for the BGH-HSV, Bluegame’s hydrogen-powered foiling chase boat built for the 37th America’s Cup, which reached 50 knots with zero emissions. Currently consisting of one model, the BGF45 features an exterior design by Luca Santella and Zuccon International Project, with the hull developed in collaboration with Caponnetto Hueber. Unique from other multihull platforms, the BGF45 and subsequent models in the series feature a foil-assisted system positioned between the twin hulls. Rather than full-foiling in the race-boat sense, the fixed lateral foil partially lifts the hull at speed, reducing wetted surface and hydrodynamic drag, delivering a measurable improvement in fuel efficiency of up to 30 percent and a smooth cruising experience above 30 knots. Despite only measuring 14.15 metres in length, the BGF45 features an innovative layout that optimises the space onboard, with two full cabins, one being a full-beam owner’s suite, plus a third convertible cabin on the lower deck. The main deck includes a large sunbed in the bow, which serves as a sundeck, with a table for al-fresco dining and an expansive beach-club area. The BGF45 is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 600, giving her a top speed of 35 knots.
