The X Class is Princess Yachts’ range of Superyachts, first launched in 2019 with the debut of the British shipyard’s flagship model, the X95. Replacing the M Class, the X Class was developed in collaboration with Italian design house Pininfarina alongside long-standing naval architect and partner to Princess Yachts, Olesinski Design. The series seeks to redefine internal volume within a performance superyacht platform, enhancing both interior and exterior spaces. The series includes three models, the X80, the X90, and the X95, measuring between 25 and 29 metres in length. Each model in the X Class reportedly delivers over 30 percent more usable interior and exterior space than traditional flybridge yachts of comparable length. Central to the X Class design is its extended flybridge and full-length main deck, creating expansive, open-plan living areas rarely seen on superyachts in this size category. Floor-to-ceiling glazing runs the length of the superstructure, enhancing natural light inside and offering uninterrupted sea views. Exterior areas are divided into multiple social areas, including foredeck lounges, main deck aft alfresco dining, and a substantial flybridge with helm, wet bar, and sunpads. The main deck salon is typically arranged as a single, flowing entertainment and leisure space, with an open-plan living and dining area. The larger two models, the X95 and X90, also feature an owner’s suite forward on the main deck, complete with a private terrace. The lower deck features four ensuite staterooms, including two double and two twin, for up to ten overnight guests. Powered by twin MAN or Volvo engines, the X Class series has top speeds of up to 26 to 28 knots depending on model and engine configuration.
