Sanlorenzo’s SD series is the Italian shipyard’s refined take on long-range, semi-displacement cruising yachts. First introduced back in 2012, the SD series reinterprets the timelessness of 1930s trans-Atlantic liners in a contemporary design. Encompassing several different models over the years, the SD series today includes four models ranging from 28 metres to 38 metres in length, including the SD90, SD96, SD118, and the flagship model, the SD132. Designed in collaboration with Zuccon International Project, the exterior styling pays tribute to classic maritime ocean cruisers while delivering modern functionality in a bold design. Constructed from fibreglass composite, the series’ hull design and naval architecture were done in-house, with contributions from Philippe Briand. The interiors are by Patricia Urquiola, who sought to introduce a softer, residential sensibility. From the adaptable SD96 to the spacious SD132, each model in the SD series offers understated elegance, long-range capability, and a timeless profile that sets it apart in the semi-displacement market. Distinguished by their tri-deck layout, the SD series offers impressive interior volumes and smart integration of indoor and outdoor living. Expansive main decks connect to the aft cockpit through sliding glass doors, creating ideal spaces for entertaining. Foldout terraces and foredeck jacuzzi pools elevate onboard enjoyment for owners and guests alike, while a beach club-style transom offers direct access to the open waters. Providing owners with several customisation options, the largest SD132 can accommodate up to ten guests across five ensuite staterooms, including the owner’s suite forward on the main deck and four additional guest staterooms on the lower deck. Powered by twin MAN MTU diesel engines, the SD series has a top speed of up to 17 knots.
