Sanlorenzon’s SX series redefines the overall concept of a crossover yacht. With the first in the range, the SX88, debuting at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2017, the Italian shipyard aimed to merge the elegance of a flybridge with the functionality of an explorer yacht in one distinctive yacht range. Featuring a GRP hull and carbon fibre superstructure, the SX series was developed in-house by Sanlorenzo’s design team, who collaborated with Luca Santella and Studio Zuccon International Project for the exterior styling and layout. Sanlorenzo also worked with Piero Lissoni for the interiors of the SX series. Created with contemporary owners in mind who prioritise informal, yet luxurious and liveable cruising, the SX series encompasses four models ranging from 23 metres to 34 metres in length. The entry-level model, the SX76, the SX88, the SX100, and the flagship SX112. Characterised by a forward-leaning superstructure and expansive beach area, the general arrangement of the SX includes a flexible tri-deck layout, with the main deck conceived as a loft-like open space with floor-to-ceiling glazing and flexible furniture. The helm station has been repositioned to the flybridge, freeing up additional interior volume. The beach club at the stern doubles as a storage space for tenders and toys, and includes an integrated crane hidden in the sweeping rail. Offering high levels of customisation, the SX112 can accommodate up to ten overnight guests across five ensuite staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite amidship on the lower deck. The SX series is powered by up to four Volvo Penta IPS engines, with a top speed of up to 23 knots and a cruising range of approximately 1,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
