Azimut Grande Series
AZIMUT GRANDE SERIES
The Grande series from Italian shipyard Azimut is a range of superyachts that offer the latest advanced technologies with traditional Italian craftsmanship. First introduced to the industry in 2010, followed by the debut of the first model, the Grande 120SL (discontinued) at the 2011 Cannes Yachting Festival, the 120 SL marked Azimut’s flagship superyacht. Featuring an exterior design by Stefano Righini and interiors by Carlo Galeazzi, the Grande 120 SL featured bold lines and expansive glazing, striking a strong visual presence on the open water. Recent models like the 26M and 36M feature an exterior design by Alberto Mancini with interiors by Achille Salvagni Architetti and m2atelier. The Grande series is known today for its innovative carbon-tech generation construction, utilising carbon fibre for enhanced structural stability whilst maximising interior volume, combined with displacement-to-planing hull technology that delivers exceptional efficiency. The current lineup includes seven models, spanning 26 to 43.6 metres. The Grande series showcases revolutionary spatial concepts with full-height windows creating organic indoor-outdoor transitions and expansive light-filled interiors. Main deck configurations feature open-plan saloons with floor-to-ceiling glazing, forward cockpits, raised pilothouses, and innovative Deck2Deck terraces that transform garage hatches into sea-view platforms extending cockpit space. Lower deck arrangements accommodate four to six ensuite staterooms, including full-beam owner’s suites, whilst exterior spaces feature distinctive Infinity Skydecks with fully walkaround flybridges incorporating forward infinity pools, aft verandas, and central enclosed saloons. Later models introduced Rolls-Royce mtu pod drives, achieving 15 percent greater efficiency with reduced fuel consumption. The flagship Grande 44M features a unique four-level configuration with a beach club, whilst models including the Grande 36M, 32M, and Grande 30M showcase blunt bows maximising forward volume and seamless spatial flow. Powered by twin MAN or MTU diesel engines or advanced MTU pod propulsion configurations, the Grande series delivers top speeds from 25 to 39 knots.
