Azimut Seadeck Series
AZIMUT SEADECK SERIES
The Seadeck series from Italian shipyard Azimut is said to be the industry’s first range of hybrid motor yachts designed for families, prioritising environmental consciousness and authentic experiences on the open waters. First announced in March 2023, the series debuted with the Seadeck 6 at the 2024 Venice Boat Show. Featuring exterior designs by Alberto Mancini with interiors by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, marking their debut in yachting, the series showcases the shipyard’s signature Fun Island concept, expansive glazing, and sustainable materials throughout. Setting new benchmarks in the low-emissions yachting segment, the Seadeck series features extensive carbon fibre construction covering 40 percent of surfaces, alongside recycled materials including 15,000 repurposed plastic bottles within structural elements and Econyl carpeting from fishing nets, achieving emissions reductions up to 40 percent annually. The current lineup of the Seadeck series spans three models measuring 17.25 to 25.60 metres. Main deck arrangements include open-plan salons with innovative galley positions, whilst exterior spaces emphasise indoor-outdoor flow through sliding glass doors. The signature Fun Island transforms aft terraces through opening lateral wings, creating waterside lounging zones, with the flagship model Seadeck 9 offering 60 square metres of cascading terraces across three levels, incorporating an integrated pool flanked by sliding sundecks and high-low platforms. The series interior design follows a conscious subtraction philosophy utilising natural tones and recycled elements to create wellness-focused environments. Lower deck layouts for the Seadeck series range from three to four ensuite staterooms, including full-beam owner’s suites positioned amidships, with crew quarters occupying forward or aft positions. Powered by Volvo Penta IPS hybrid propulsion systems, the Seadeck 7 became the world’s first yacht featuring Volvo Penta IPS hybrid technology, achieving speeds between 27 and 33 knots whilst incorporating Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode for generator-free operation.
