Turkish shipyard Bering Yachts, founded in 2007 by Alexei Mikhailov, specialises in the construction of semi-custom, steel and aluminium explorer yachts and expedition catamarans. Located in Antalya, Turkey, the shipyard offers a broad range of series, including its Expedition Yachts series and Expedition Catamarans, with sizes ranging from 20 to 45 metres in length. Initially starting its operations in Foshan, China, where the shipyard built seven all-metal yachts, Bering relocated to Turkey in 2017 to leverage the region’s skilled labour offering. This move helped facilitate the company’s expansion, leading to the establishment of an additional shipyard in Burgas, Bulgaria. Bering Group’s global headquarters are in the United States, with additional offices in Germany and Australia. Committed to delivering explorer yachts that offer the highest standards in safety, comfort, and self-sufficiency, each Bering explorer yacht features a robust steel hull, providing exceptional durability and seaworthiness. Built with long-range cruising in mind, Bering Yachts are equipped with advanced watermakers and ample storage. The shipyard’s current series lineup includes the Expedition Yachts series, with models such as the B72, B82, B88, and B145, as well as the Expedition Catamarans series, featuring the BC60, BC70, and BC80. Notable models from Bering include the Bering 145, a 44.2-metre superyacht designed for transoceanic exploration, and the Bering 105, a 32-metre yacht. Bering Yachts has successfully delivered 16 yachts and superyachts to date, with an additional 10 yachts currently under construction, according to data in the SYT iQ.
