Bluegame BG Range

BLUEGAME BG RANGE

The BG Range is a series of sport utility boats (SUBs) developed by the Italian shipyard Bluegame that blend elements of day cruisers, fishing boats, and walk-around yachts into a single new concept.

The original BG range was initially introduced in 2005 with the BG47, a pioneering design by the shipyard’s founder, Luca Santella. Following Bluegame’s acquisition by the Sanlorenzo Group in 2018, the BG lineup was completely refreshed and modernized, with renewed exterior design by Santella together with design firm Zuccon International Project.

The current BG range consists of three models, the BG42, the BG54, and the BG74, measuring between 13.15 metres and 22.82 metres in length, with the entry model BG42 introduced in 2018 together with the now-discontinued BG67.

Categorized as high-performance day boats, the models feature deep-V hulls and high, flared bows, offering a smooth and stable cruising experience even in more choppy open water conditions. All three models in the BG range offer large, walk-around decks, designed to maximize the potential for outdoor enjoyment, with large sun beds, flexible awnings, and an elevated, open helm station. In addition, all three offer expansive sterns, which can be used as a beach club when anchored. Each of the models also features a cabin, with the BG42 featuring a full-beam owner’s cabin with room for a king-size bed and a convertible bow dining area. The BG54 can feature two or three cabins, with a full-beam owner’s suite, and the flagship, the BG74, offering a lower deck salon, a generous sun deck plus the full-beam owner’s suite. Each model comes with a standard engine option of twin Volvo Penta IPS, with the BG42 and BG54 having a top speed of 35 knots and the BG74 a top speed of 30 knots.
