One of the most established Dutch shipyards, Heesen is best known for its semi-custom and fully custom yachts. Founded in 1979 by Frans Heesen, the shipyard’s business model is based on three pillars: speculation build, platform yachts, and custom division. Offering steel and aluminum superyachts measuring between 30 and 80 meters in size, Heesen rose to international acclaim in 1988 with the launch of the formerly fastest yacht in the world, Octopussy, which boasts a top speed of over 50 knots. Among the first shipyards to use aluminum alloy to build high-performance superyachts, Heesen began constructing full-displacement steel hull yachts in 1992. Dedicating itself to innovation, superior craftsmanship, and design, Heesen is capable of working on up to 15 yachts at a time.

Heesen’s current series include its popular 50m Steel Displacement and 50m Semi-Displacement series, its 50m Aluminium FDHF and 55m Steel FDHF, and the 57m Aluminium FDHF.
