Riva, a name synonymous with yachting today, boasts an illustrious history spanning over 180 years, interwoven with innovation, passion, and exceptional craftsmanship. Founded in 1842 on Lake Iseo, Italy, by Pietro, the shipyard started from humble beginnings, repairing storm-damaged fishing boats. Pietro’s commitment to craftsmanship, design and quality quickly earned the yard a revered reputation. Under subsequent generations, notably Ernesto and then Serafino Riva, the shipyard transitioned from building transportation vessels to power boating, with a notable shift towards racing yachts in the 1920s and 1930s. Later, in the 1950s, Riva’s fame surged. Under Carlo Riva’s watchful eye, meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality transformed Riva into the emblem of luxury yachting it is today.

Collaborating with designer Giorgio Barilani further accentuated Riva’s brand, culminating in iconic wooden Riva yachts like the Ariston, Tritone, Sebino, and Florida. The Aquarama, launched in 1962, is one of the crown jewels of Riva’s legacy. While the shipyard embraced modernity and innovation with the introduction of fibreglass production in 1969, its essence remained unchanged. Following its acquisition by the Ferretti Group in 2000, Riva continues to uphold its pillars of quality, design, and style. Riva’s impressive offering today includes three categories, open, sportily and flybridge, with standout models like the 76′ Perso Super, 110′ Dolcevita, 102′ Corsaro Super, and the iconic Aquarama Anniversairio.
