New Launch
Inside the 73-Metre Sanlorenzo Yacht With a Living Tree Onboard
Sanlorenzo Launches Virtuosity, the Second 74Steel Yacht
Sanlorenzo has launched Virtuosity, the second yacht in its 73-metre flagship 74Steel series, from its shipyard in La Spezia. The build followed more than four years of direct collaboration between the shipyard and her owner, and while she shares her platform and diesel-electric propulsion setup with the first hull, Silver Fox, the layout takes a materially different approach to what the space onboard is for.
Exterior design and naval architecture come from Zuccon International Project, with the interior developed by Studio Paolo Ferrari. Sanlorenzo’s CEO Tommaso Vincenzi has framed the project as a reconsideration of how space is organised onboard from the ground up, treating what would normally be technical or transit areas as places guests actually spend time.

A Living Tree Through Two Decks
The feature that sets Virtuosity apart is on the main deck: a Ficus Nitida tree that rises through two full decks, lit by lateral skylights positioned at floor level. The tree wasn’t added after the fact, its species and expected mature size were selected before the yacht went into build, and the surrounding architecture was designed around it.
The rest of the main deck is arranged around a stern pool that opens directly onto the main saloon, with seating positioned forward, aft, and outward, a bow-facing bar, and a triple-height lobby connecting all three decks by staircase and lift. A custom wine cellar sits to starboard.

Guest and Owner Areas
Forward on the main deck are two guest staterooms and a VIP cabin, alongside the first of two owner’s suites at roughly 80 square metres, laid out with the bed facing the window to free up space for a large dressing room and bathroom.
The second owner’s suite sits on Virtuosity’s private owner’s deck at the bow, in a zone spanning roughly 140 square metres of combined interior and exterior space that also includes a reflecting pool, a sensory shower, and removable seating. A cinema lounge occupies the stern of the same deck.
The bridge deck adds a 42 square-metre winter garden veranda, a direct request from the owner, developed jointly by the shipyard and Zuccon International Project, built around a single formal dining table, a bar, and a walk-in wine cellar. Two further guest cabins sit on this level, along with the captain’s cabin next to the wheelhouse and, forward of that, a touch-and-go helipad and sport deck.

The Ocean Resort: A Beach Club Built to Scale
Virtuosity’s lower deck, referred to as the Ocean Resort, is where the size difference from Silver Fox is most visible. The beach club runs 18 metres from the swim platform to the first bulkhead, covering more than 230 square metres, around 40% larger than the equivalent space on the first 74Steel hull.
Fold-down side platforms and a walkaround surround a 28 square-metre glass-bottom pool that functions as a water-toy lounge by day and, with a DJ booth built in, a club space at night.
Forward of the beach club is the Aquarium, a roughly 35 square-metre wellness area combining a hammam, sauna, massage room, cryotherapy chamber, and posarium, with its own opening terrace. Part of the hull here is glazed and sits below the waterline, turning a section of the ship’s side into a window onto open water.

Sundeck and Final Layout
The sundeck houses an enclosed gym with glazing that opens at the bow, stern, and sides, plus a pool and an aft seating area set up for informal dining. Between the tree, the Ocean Resort, and the Aquarium, the layout treats what are usually functional or transit spaces on a yacht this size as destinations in their own right.
